I already like it just for the use of "talkies" which is among my favourite words.
But how can you mention bad SNL films without pointing out Blues Brothers as the exception to the rule. You overlooked Monty Python as being a sketch comedians who didn't fuck up when they jumped to films in your intro, too.

Well written review dude. It's tough to make the jump from doing skits to making feature films.
